i love....
imperfect photos...my mom's fried rice...clearance racks...blogs...split pea green...laughing until the laugh comes out quiet and my face hurts...the smell of my kids after the bath...a clean & quiet house...the sunsets in cannon beach, oregon...peppermint ice cream...reading the sunday ads in sweatpants...snorkeling in maui...giving the perfect gift...chandelier earrings...hugs...freshly brewed coffee...nicely shaped eyebrows...crossword puzzles with my husband...silence with good friends...peanut butter & chocolate anything...a good book with actual pages...random conversations about nothing...Seattle (sans precipitation)...family...

lovely.

just one from this beautiful wedding…it makes me hold my breath a bit.  more to come, cross my heart.

lisa + troy

Sometimes I feel like a minimalist & think the pictures should just speak for themselves in my blog posts…I don’t love any one couple more than another…sometimes I’m just long winded.  Sometimes I’m not.  I love being my own boss…anyway…

Troy & Lisa.

Like peanut butter and jelly.  Maybe you remember their engagement session?  (click here)

Troy & Lisa go together perfectly.  I love them, I love my job.  Their day rocked.  The end.

P.S.  Readers, do you read the text?  Or just prefer photos?  I never read the text…but those that don’t won’t read this anyway…  :)

liz + david

Liz & David’s wedding was especially dear to me…

“A few years ago” Liz and I went to high school together, and by the beauty of Facebook we recently got in touch.  Their wedding was very sentimental for me.  To see someone you shared your growing up years with so immensely happy, is so good for the heart.  I have the best job ever, watching people begin their lives together on one of the happiest days of their lives.

Thank you Liz & David for allowing me to document your wedding- David, you are so perfect for Liz!  I loved how you looked at each other- you have something truly beautiful.  I read this quote in a book this week and thought of you…

“Be not dishearten’d, affection shall solve the problems of freedom yet,
Those who love each other shall become invincible…”  -Walt Whitman

All the best, lovebirds…

xo, J

A big thank you to my second shooter Amanda who grabbed some great photojournalistic shots like the first one…
